I like the show Burn Notice on USA. It features Jeffrey Donovan as a former spy who has been black listed and has some good spills and thrills. Jeffrey is noticeably in great shape and so when I saw the article in Men’s Fitness, he actually made the cover, so hey kudos to you Jeffrey, well I had to check it out. His trainer who I have never met, nor have I ever met Jeffrey are featured in the article and the title is Jeffrey Donovan’s “Burn” Body Workout.  This is a 30 minute workout and it was listed as these exercises.

The Exercises:     

  • 20 Pushups
  • 5 Inside grip pullups
  • 20 Diamond pushups
  • 20 Resistance-band curls
  • 20 Reverse lunges
  • 5 Inside grip pullups
  • 3 Minutes of shadow-boxing
  • 30 scissor kicks
  • 30 Abdominal flutter kicks
  • 15 Abdominal V-ups

This is a great workout and if you notice it is ten exercises. The idea as with Shape Shifter Fitness is to go from one exercise to the next as fast as possible to keep your heart rate up, and as the trainer states go as slow as possible for maximum muscle tension and resistance. Since there are 10 exercises I am envisioning Jeffrey taking about maybe three minutes per exercise. I have to admit though as a fellow personal trainer I would like to think Jeffrey could start off with a bigger bang for the 30 minute buck and get in more then 20 push ups. There are also a few other exercises I think are needed but overall great workout. I think it would need to be changed up frequently though for Jeffrey to keep him challenged.
